Proviron decreases the ability of estrogen receptors found in muscles to bind to estrogen. This reduces the amount of active estrogen during a cycle. In addition, Proviron also binds to the enzyme aromatase, thus blocking testosterone binding.

PROVIRON is used to treat potency disturbances, infertility, and declining physical and mental alertness in the aging male due to reduced androgen formation.
