When and How to Start a Dianabol Only Cycle
From experience, bodybuilders with a history of steroid use tend to start a Dianabol only cycle after they have successfully run an Anavar or Testosterone cycle.
However, a beginner can also run a Dbol only cycle, but it would be ideal for novices to start with a warm-up Dianabol cycle (more on this cycle a bit later).
Dianabol Only Cycle Expectation
As a first timer, you should expect weight gains of up to 30 pounds (Ib) in addition to as much as 50 pounds (Ib) strength gains on compound lifts.
However, note that these are just estimated figures and your results would be dependent on a host of factors including your sex, age, genetic make-up, training, diet, and recovery.
Dianabol Only Cycle for Beginner Level Bodybuilders
As someone looking to start using Dbol for the first time, you can run a five (5) week Dianabol cycle as follows:
- Week 1 to 2: 10 mg per day,
- Week 3 to 4: 15 mg per day,
- Week 5: 20 mg per day.
As you can see, you begin this five week Dianabol cycle with a low dosage then gradually increase your daily dosage as you progress with your Dbol cycle.
The Dianabol dosage plan in this beginner cycle is conservative and designed to help minimize Dianabol side effects while still offering you a chance to grow muscle mass and build your strength levels quickly.
Warm-up Dianabol Only Cycle
If you are new to bodybuilding and steroid use altogether, it is advisable for you to first build up your tolerance level with a warm-up Dbol only cycle.
This cycle will run for five (5) weeks with the following Dianabol dosage:
- Week 1 to 2: 10 mg daily,
- Week 3 to 4: 15 mg per day,
- Week 5: 20 mg per day.
Dianabol Only Cycle for intermediate and Advanced Level Bodybuilders

Typically, advanced bodybuilders will run a higher daily dosage and longer cycle length when using Dbol. Advanced Bodybuilders often start with a daily Dianabol dosage of 30 mg and may increase this dosage to about 50 mg per day over an eight (8) week Dianabol cycle.
Protection during a Dianabol Only Cycle
Dianabol is known to be hepatotoxic, as it is a c-17 alpha-alkylated anabolic steroid meaning that the metabolism of Dianabol takes place in the liver.
Running a Dianabol cycle may therefore put an enormous strain on your liver causing damage if caution is not taken.
To protect your liver from damage while on Dbol, you should include liver protection supplements to your Dianabol cycle while still running a conservative Dianabol dosage plan and cycle length.

You can regulate your blood pressure with fish oil which contains omega-3 fatty acids. A dosage of 3 g daily taken alongside your Dianabol dosage for a period of eight (8) weeks should be good enough to help regulate your blood pressure.
But note that if you suffer from hypotension (low blood pressure), you should avoid using fish oil as it could potentially aggravate your condition.
Post-cycle Therapy (PCT) for Dianabol
Post-cycle therapy or PCT is recommended for any Dianabol cycle and that includes a standalone or stacked cycle. You should commence your PCT after the Dianabol compound has completely left your bloodstream. You can begin PCT 33 hours after your last Dbol dosage, as Dianabol has a maximum half-life of 6 hours and by the thirty third hour, it is believed that the compound must have thoroughly left your body.
Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG)
You should know that Dianabol will suppress your natural testosterone production, as the exogenous testosterone levels in your body surges.
As you come to an end of your Dbol cycle, your endogenous testosterone production would often remain shut down and would need a boost to get back to normalcy. This is where HCG comes in handy and a dosage of 2,000 IU administered every other day (EOD) over a 20 day period should suffice to get your endogenous testosterone up and running again.
An endogenous testosterone production that is shut down can cause a myriad of health issues including low energy levels, poor immunity, poor libido and sexual performance, and mood swings.
In addition to this, when your natural testosterone production is shut down, you are more exposed to post-cycle catabolism where you may lose your muscle mass gains.
Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators (SERMs)
Using Dbol can raise your estrogen levels as a result of the aromatization of testosterone to estrogen in the body. High estrogen levels can cause a number of side effects including feminization side effects like bloating, water retention and gynecomastia.
You can prevent these side effects by controlling your estrogen levels with an aromatase inhibitor (AI) like Arimidex or SERM like Clomiphene (Clomid) and Tamoxifen (Nolvadex).
With an AI, testosterone is prevented from converting to estrogen which then helps you to avoid estrogenic side effects. The downside to using an AI is your blood pressure and cholesterol levels tend to increase.
However, in the case of SERMs, estrogen levels are controlled within your breast tissue, thereby preventing the development of man boobs or gynecomastia.
SERMs are preferred to AIs because the latter will reduce your overall estrogen levels which is not healthy while the former will only lower estrogen levels at targeted parts of your body, like your breast region without reducing your total estrogen levels.
The most frequently used SERMs are Clomiphene (Clomid) and Tamoxifen (Nolvadex). You can use between 10 to 30 mg of Nolvadex daily or 50 to 100 mg of Clomid per day for 30 days.
